The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind is the inspiring, true story of a creative and caring young man, William, growing up in Malawi during a time of great adversity. As drought threatened to bring famine, 13 year old William built a functioning windmill out of junkyard scraps, and thus became the local hero who harnessed the wind. “EVERYTHING about this film is intelligent, inspiring, wholesome, life-affirming.” Following the movie, we’ll enjoy a simple meal of Maid Rites and salads in the commons. $5 per person suggested. To help us prepare, sign up in the Rt55 Binder at the Welcome Center or text/ email Jean Gedlinske.
