Volunteer for the Day!

Habitat for Humanity is doing great things throughout our community and in the Walnut Neighborhood! Orchard Hill Church is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build houses, build community, build hope.

The volunteer hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm with an option to work a half a day (just make a note in the comments). Habitat will provide all the tools and materials necessary for the workdays.

Habitat’s volunteer coordinator will email volunteers with location, tasks, site supervisor information, etc.

Lunch will be provided unless otherwise specified. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and work boots or tennis shoes to volunteer.

If you are at least 18 years old, consider signing up for a work day. Future dates on volunteer registration.

Provide Lunch

Habitat for Humanity's mission is putting God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Orchard Hill Church supports Habitat by volunteering on monthly build teams. We'd love to invite you to serve by preparing a meal for the team that is serving. The building teams are comprised of about 10-12 people working at a different location once a month in Waterloo, often including the family or individual who will be purchasing the home being worked on and the Habitat staff. Your meal can be a huge encouragement to all involved.

There are three ways to get your meal to the volunteers:

  • drop it off at Orchard Hill Church on Friday before the build
  • drop it off at noon at that week's Waterloo job site (address provided to you the Thursday before)
  • bring the meal to the job site at noon & stay to enjoy it alongside the volunteers.

Thanks so much for serving in this way.
