NOTE: Volunteers should park in the Family Dentist parking (east of the Y) or at Grundy Auto Body (west of the Y) to make room for pantry guest parking on site of the loading area.
The Northeast Iowa Food Bank supplies food to be distributed to under-resourced households. Volunteers from area churches help by unloading the truck, arranging the food, assisting with distribution, carrying bags and boxes to vehicles, and cleaning up.
About 100 households are served each month. It takes approx 40 volunteers to facilitate this food distribution. Volunteers needed at 4:15 to package & arrange food, then stay to help families carry food to their vehicles.
The pantry is held each month: Third Tuesday from 5:00-6:30pm.
