Plays Well With Others

God has created us to be in relationships with other people. ALL kinds of other people! So, one of the earliest things we learn is how to get along with other people. Remember that assessment category on your kindergarten report card: ”Plays well with others?”

Playing well with others is not always easy. In fact, it can be downright difficult.

People can be difficult!

We can be difficult!

But the truth is, one of the most challenging aspects of life - getting along with others - can also be one of the most rewarding. However, we have to work at it.

How can we get better at being human - being a healthy human - who gets along well with others?

This series will look at four practical ways in which we can improve our relationship skills and our ability to love others well.

This is important stuff for the Church. Jesus said to his followers, "So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” (John 13:34-35, NLT)

Followers of Jesus are to be marked by love. It is our ability to know that we are loved by God, as well as our love for ourselves, God and others -- even our enemies -- that demonstrates to the world that we have chosen to follow Jesus.
