Read Luke 6:17-19

He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.

Reflect

We may not have the opportunity to physically bring ourselves to Jesus, but he is our healer nonetheless. We can present ourselves to him at any time, with our hands held out, asking him to heal any wound or disease we have. What parts of you aren't whole today? What parts need healing?

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us. We are broken in so many ways and need your healing. Make your presence known to us, even apparent, and in doing so remind us that you are always near. Amen.
