Read Romans 3:23-24

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Reflect

Yesterday's passage said that we're made in the image of God. Today we see that we are all sinners, breakers of God's law, and that his glorious image in us has been marred. Right now, do you feel more like a divine image-bearer or a fallen sinner? What does Paul, the writer of Romans, say that God has done to deal with this dilemma?

That God has dealt with our sin freely through Jesus should be a source not of pride but of humble gratitude. Express that gratitude to him now.
